Dr. Georges Batona,

Ph.D, M.Sc.

Evaluator and Consultant

Georges is a public health professional. After completing his Master’s degree in Community Health, specialising in Evaluation at the University of Laval in Quebec (with distinction), he is currently studying for a PhD.

 

Having completed training in research and world health at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Georges worked as a consultant-instructor at the Quebec Centre for International Cooperation in Health and Development, for Oxfam Quebec, at the Quebec University Hospital Centre and as a research professional at the University of Laval in Quebec.

 

Heading up field operations in a vast international anti-AIDs programme, Georges carried out evaluation mandates of the epidemiological situation of HIV in Niger and analysis of the technical effectiveness and efficiency of the HIV programmes in Benin. He also worked as a research assistant for the monitoring and evaluation of projects in Quebec University Hospital within the Population Health Research Unit.
